* project description:

The diffusion generator is a web-based application for the authorship of diffusion eBooks.
eBooks and the diffusion generator are designed to overcome many of the issues associated, and skills required, with more traditional forms of publishing by being freely available to download and print. eBooks are easily assembled using a simple cut-and-fold format conceived by Giles Lane and Paul Farrington. Published eBooks are held in a publicly accessible online library.

Phil has been approached to develop the diffusion generator system and web interface, incorporating project workflow from inception to publication of eBooks, account setup, account management, eBook library, administrator management, together with the potential for adding further formats.

The system runs off a number of open-source development and application tools - Plone, zope, reportlab and a postgreSQL database. All logic is written in python.

Currently in Beta Stage 2 development, the system is being road-tested by a limited user group before being made publicly available.
